Do you have pain or tension from sports, office work, or stress? Do you have back pain, a sore neck, or a bum leg? You may benefit from a program of therapeutic massage to address your muscle tension and help your body relearn how to be relaxed, healthy, and comfortable. We will work together to create a treatment plan that addresses your specific problems and goals and get that neck, back, or leg to top form. I am Jen Jaynes, a licensed professional massage therapist with four years of experience. Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
While I bring four years of experience to your massage, I have only had my own business for a year. I worked for others to gain experience and skills to give a great massage, and opened my own business to make sure your experience is outstanding from beginning to end.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My experience with a Western martial art of sword fighting, and the associated aches and pains, led me to focus on the benefits of massage for people who use their body intensively: athletes and martial artists.
You need a massage therapist who understands your needs. The musculoskeletal problems and goals of an athlete are very different from those of a non-athlete: improving range of motion for better performance, decreasing unwanted muscle tension to allow more explosive power, decreasing scar tissue, and recovery from intense competition.
I work with runners, triathletes, swimmers, horseback riders, soccer, baseball and volleyball players, and a wide variety of other athletes to help them reach their performance goals.
