Deep Root Liquid / Biennial Fertilizer; Liquid fertilizer and beneficial organic materials are injected within the root zone of the specified
plant(s). This is an important part of keeping your plants healthy and able to withstand the stress of urban living.
Stump Grinding of tree/shrub stumps, to below grade level, will allow for planting of grass, flowers or small plants in the area.

Insect & Disease Control: Applied by MA Licensed Applicators and as recommended by the U-Mass Extension Service. Timing of all applications depends on weather and environmental conditions. Recommended applications are tailored to each individual property depending on environmental circumstances. Although the materials that we use are environmentally friendly, we are pleased to inform you that we have integrated an Effective Bee/Pollinator safe material that is ideal for treating Trees & Shrubs without harming the pollinators and the bee population. After each application, unless otherwise established, a door tag is left at the door indicating the date, time, service provided, notes or instructions considered necessary and the name of the applicator. A tree label is attached onsite, in a location visible when approaching the property, when possible. We offer an “Annual Call Before Service” for any property owner that requests a phone call prior to each scheduled visit.
Winter Moth Caterpillar Control Application; to trees & shrubs for Winter Moth Caterpillar control, 2 appls. in the Early Spring.
Horticultural Oil Application (Spring Oil, Fall Hemlock Oil); To most Evergreens and Flowering Ornamental Trees & Shrubs, in the Spring, to limit the hatching of overwintered insects; Aphids, Mites, Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, Lacebug, Leafminer, Mealybugs, and more. When applied to the Hemlocks in the Fall, this application controls the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid.
Early Ornamental Application; To Ornamental Flowering Fruit trees, which leaf out early in the season, to control Winter Moth Caterpillars. This includes using a Bee/Pollinator Safe Material that has a low impact on beneficial insects and non-targeted organisms.
Bark/Trunk Systemic Application; To the trunk of specific plants to provide season long control for a broad spectrum of pests i.e. Adelgids,
Scale, Aphids, etc. Its unique properties provide rapid uptake and efficacy while providing targeted control and reducing the chance of material drift.
Pest Management/Foliar Application; To Selective plants at a specific time, based on growing degree days, using materials and methods
for targeting only what is necessary, as conditions warrant upon arrival, noted as Early, Mid & Late Season Applications. Spring thru Late-Summer for control of leaf chewing & sucking insects; Aphids, Birch Leaf Miner, Canker Worm, Lacebug, Japanese Beetle, Holly Leaf Miner, Spider Mites, etc.
Fungicide Application for control of fungus disease. 3-5 applications, Early Spring - Early Summer. Weather conditions May alter the number of applications required.
Black Vine Weevil Application to Rhododendrons & Yews. A minimum of 3 applications recommended, May-August.
Holly Application for control of Holly Leaf Miner. May require more than 1 application, May & July.
Euonymus Application for control of scale. May require more than 1 application, June - July.
Miticide Application to specified evergreens for control of. 1-3 applications, July - August.
Herbicide Application to assist in the elimination of Poison Ivy, Weeds or other Undesirable Growth in a designated area.
Anti-Desiccant Application to newly installed plants &/or Broadleaf Evergreens to aid in moisture retention over the winter months, Dec. – Jan.
Annual Call Before Service includes a phone call, to the property owner, the day before the crew is scheduled to arrive. An “Annual Call Before Service” Fee of $15.00 will be applied to accounts requiring phone notification prior to each visit.
Neighbor’s Authorization is required from the abutting property owner(s) if access to their property is necessary. Any portion of your plants overhanging an abutter’s property will not be sprayed without advance written authorization from the property owner(s), on an annual basis. It is the responsibility of our client to inform Lupien Tree & Landscape, in writing, if the ownership of the involved abutter(s) has changed and to obtain written authorization from the new abutting homeowner(s).
Environmental Conditions as well as Health Maintenance (Regular Watering, Pruning, Insect/Disease Control, etc.) of your Trees & Shrubs can have an impact on the timing of any service.

Lawn Fertilizer Plus, Five-Step Program: Five applications of fertilizer, plus one application of lime*.

Waldo E. Lupien, who started the business as W.E. Lupien & Sons in 1919 is the father of Herb Lupien, Father-in-law of Maureen O'Hara Lupien and the Grandfather of Lynn Wasilewski & Jason Lupien, started the family business in 1919

Herb has been in the business since he was young and continues to work daily as a manager and maintaining the equipment. He is an Owner & Business Partner with is wife Maureen for over 50 years. Maureen works in the Office. Herb & Maureen are Parents of the Business Office Manager, Lynn Wasilewski and Jason Lupien, Arborist.
